The Queen of Moorpark

Soon the baby and her mother will attend Gateway High School in Camarillo where they offer education to young mothers and daycare for their children. It is late when Cortes is ready to say her goodbyes. It has been 15 hours since her day began. Her picture ID badge is stilll clipped to her jacket. She leaves the couple with long hugs. But before she can walk into the night, her ringing cell phone summons her to duty. "This is Teresa Cortes," she answers. "May I help you?"
