The Queen of Moorpark

Cortes's days begin at 5 a.m. with six-mile walks and warm, cinnamon-flavored coffee in a big clay mug declaring "I am The Queen". She earned her title of accidental royalty because of her passion for the community. Since coming to Moorpark frm a Mexican convent three decades ago, she has helped to build homes, to build futures, to build liives. Here, back form her walk, she spends some time with her son, Steve Cortes.
