The younger boy, Aaron, goes with Cortes to visit her grandma before the autsitc boy's appointment with a speech therapist. Cortes calls Juanita Carrillo, 83, left, her "grandmother" reflecting their close friendship of 25 years. For ten years, a tiny trailor behind the home of Carrillo served as home for Cortes and her family. From there, she helped to plan and build a 62-home affordable community in Moorpark called Villa Campisina. The trailor made Cortes fight for the development all the more.
